Product Description: Our Port — Marquette grapes fortified with our own distilled spirits, integrated into a meticulously crafted solera system. Bold, opulent, made for cold nights and contemplative moments.

Tasting Notes: Deep, rich red hue. A symphony of aromas — candied cherry, dried fig, intertwined with undercurrents of chocolate, tobacco, and a whisper of leather. Full-bodied and luscious on the palate, culminating in a subtly sweet finish that lingers.

Winemaker's Notes: Inspired by my wife Rebecca's fondness for appassimento-style, port-like wines, we embarked on a quest to craft a Port that truly resonates with her tastes. Leveraging our experience with spirit-making for our Sherry, we ventured into the realm of fortified wines. Utilizing our own distilled spirits, we fortified the Port and integrated it into a solera system that builds character and depth with every vintage.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I serve the Port?

Slightly cool, 14–16°C. Use a small wine glass or a port glass. A digestif portion is typically 2–3 oz.

What food pairs well with the Port?

Robust cheeses, nuts, spiced cakes, decadent chocolate desserts, savoury dishes, or just on its own with a contemplative cigar.

What's in our Port? Is it vegan?

Marquette grapes, fortified with our own distilled spirits in a solera system (each new vintage blends with prior years). 18.0% ABV. 25 g/L residual sugar. Vegan. Average age in the solera: 4.5 years. Non-VQA (because of the solera blending method).

How long will Port keep after opening?

Re-cap and refrigerate. 1–3 months. The fortification protects it. Some say it improves with a few weeks of being open.

Where can I buy our Port?

Direct at the winery and online (Ontario only) — limited production of 600 bottles. Not at the LCBO or licensee restaurants.
