What is Apres Beach?
Two hours of patio happy hour at Traynor Family Vineyard, every Sunday through Thursday from 4-6pm, June 11 through September 30. Prince Edward County's lakes are beautiful. The thing missing after a day at Sandbanks or North Beach is somewhere to land for sunset that isn't another beer patio. We made that place.
The Deal
30% off cocktails and shareables, every Sunday through Thursday, 4–6pm. No reservation, no booking, no ticket — just walk in.
- 30% off cocktails — the house vermouth cocktails, spritzes, and our famous wine slushies (the slushy lives on the cocktail list). Non-alcoholic versions available.
- 30% off shareables — street corn nachos, garden herb popcorn, and the rest of the shareable plates off the summer menu.
That's not a "happy hour" in the corporate sense. It's a couple of hours that are basically inviting you to come hang out.
The Vibe
Sun. Vines. Cabanas under umbrellas on the Vineyard Patio. Hammocks under the lavender pergola if you're feeling lazy. The Sail Garden Patio if you want some shade and privacy. Often a DJ or live music. Frequently the winemaker (that's Richard Narayan) or founder (Mike Traynor) walking around — say hi.

Why Sunday through Thursday
Honestly? Because that's when we need it. Fridays and Saturdays at Traynor are already buzzing — patios full, kitchen humming, the place hums on its own. Sunday through Thursday is when a quiet afternoon turns into a perfect evening. The reward for skipping the weekend crowd. The locals' time. The day-after-Sandbanks recovery sip. Apres Beach on the slow days is when you'll actually get a hammock, a server who has time to talk, and the County's calmest hours.
Pair with Sandbanks, North Beach, or Lake on the Mountain
Apres Beach was designed as the post-beach landing strip. From Sandbanks Provincial Park, we're a 25-minute drive. From North Beach, we're 15 minutes. From Wellington Beach, we're literally down the road. From Lake on the Mountain, you're about 35 minutes — a beautiful drive through the County.
Park, sandy feet welcome, dog welcome, kids welcome, take a hammock or a cabana, cocktail in hand by 4:05pm. Closes at 6.
What to Order First
If it's your first time, here's our suggestion:
- Start with a wine flight ($10) to figure out what you like.
- During Apres Beach (Sun–Thu, 4–6pm), order a cocktail — they're 30% off, and so are the shareables.
- Order the street corn nachos ($10) for the table.
- Finish with a wine slushie. Or a hot dog. Or both.
- Buy a bottle on the way out for tonight.
