Product Description: Cherry Bomb is our Clarete-style light red — Chardonnay co-fermented on the skins with a splash of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, made the way they've done it in Spain for centuries. Vegan, crushable, built for the patio.
Tasting Notes: Candied cherry, rose petal, orange rind, and a hint of green tea on the nose. The palate is light and rich, with everything hitting you at once — acids, tannins, and flavours. It's almost like a super-robust rosé, and it's delicious.
Winemaker's Notes: Clarete is an ancient Spanish tradition: co-ferment white grapes with a smaller proportion of reds, fermented on the skins like an orange wine but with red grapes pulled through for fruit and colour. We did a slightly prolonged maceration. The wine appears almost ruby in the glass — darker than expected, with great intensity. We didn't expect it to turn out the way it did, but we love it.
