One Sunday in July, 1pm start. Date confirmed two weeks out. $85/person all in.
What it is
Sophie sets up easels under the vines, you turn an afternoon of wine, food, and conversation into something you can hang on the wall. No painting experience required — she's run this with people who hadn't held a brush since grade four. The point isn't to make a masterpiece; the point is to spend three hours outside, drinking good wine, looking at vines, and walking out with a canvas you actually like.
How it runs
- 1:00pm — arrive, glass of wine, meet Sophie
- 1:15 — Sophie walks the group through the day's subject (last year was the cellar, the lavender lawn, and the view down to the lake)
- 1:30 to 3:30 — paint, with breaks for snacks and refills
- 3:30 — lunch on the patio — charcuterie, cheese, summer salads, dessert
- 4:30 — wrap with a finished canvas and another glass
What's included
- All supplies — acrylics, canvas, brushes, easel
- A flight of three Traynor wines
- Lunch (vegetarian options always)
- One bottle of wine to take home
- Your finished canvas
Who runs it
Sophie is the visual artist behind our wine labels — the Pineau dog, the Inclusion sunburst, the Sky Roller skating dog. She's been running paint days at the vineyard for three summers. Her style is loose, encouraging, and built around "there are no wrong colours."
