Winemaker's Note:

Merlot can be tricky to grow in Ontario due to its tender buds' lack of cold tolerance. Fortunately for us, our primary Niagara grower has a great site with a warm microclimate. The fruit consistently ripens with beautiful fruit flavour and tobacco nuance. This wine aged in neutral French Oak barrels for 8 months before bottling. It really is a lovely wine.

At Traynor Family Vineyard, we are committed to crafting wines that are unique and delicious. This Merlot is the result of our experimentation, and we believe it is the perfect representation of our winemaking style.
