The two best meals of your wedding weekend. Friday-night rehearsal dinner. Sunday wedding brunch. Both, at Traynor Family Vineyard in Prince Edward County.
We're Not a Wedding Venue. We're Better Than That.
You already know the wedding-day venue. The barn, the lake, the elegant farmhouse — wherever it is, you've booked it. What you might not have figured out yet is what to do with the other 48 hours of your wedding weekend.
That's where we come in.
Traynor Family Vineyard hosts rehearsal dinners on Friday nights and wedding brunches on Sundays. The two meals that bookend your wedding day. The events where your people actually get to talk to each other, away from the formality of the ceremony.
We don't do Saturday weddings. Saturday is when our tasting room is at its busiest with walk-in guests, and we want to keep that experience for the people who came specifically to taste wine. Friday and Sunday belong to you.
Friday Night Rehearsal Dinners
The rehearsal dinner is the unofficial start of the wedding weekend. Out-of-town guests have arrived. The wedding party is together for the first time. Tomorrow is going to be a long, beautiful, slightly overwhelming day — but tonight is for slowing down and toasting.
What you get with a Friday-night rehearsal dinner at Traynor:
- Private use of your chosen patio space (16 to 70 guests)
- A customized food menu built around your group — our gourmet hot dogs (kimchi, elote, chimichurri, classic), supreme fries, and shareables are a hit for casual rehearsal dinners; we can also build something more polished if that fits your vibe
- Wine flights or bottle service from our portfolio of Pet-Nats, piquettes, orange wines, vermouths, and natural reds
- Sunset on the Vineyard Patio (the best in the west County, in our admittedly biased opinion)
- Optional add-ons: wine slushies, custom-label wines as wedding favours, our Cellarmasters Barrel Tasting as a pre-dinner activity
Timing: Most rehearsal dinners run 4-8pm, sometimes later. We can work around your rehearsal time.
Vibe: Whatever you want. Casual hot-dog-and-wine-flight on the Vineyard Patio for 50 people. Intimate seated dinner for 16 in the Cellar Tasting Room. Garden party for 24 under the Covered Wall Garden Patio. We're flexible.
Sunday Wedding Brunches
The morning after. Everyone's slightly worse for wear. The bride and groom have made it through. The day is yours to recover and celebrate quietly with the people who matter most.
What a Sunday brunch at Traynor looks like:
- Private patio space for 16 to 70 (most brunches land in the 20-40 range)
- A custom brunch menu — typically a charcuterie spread, hot food options (eggs, bacon, breakfast hot dogs if you're feeling brave), pastries, fresh fruit
- Sparkling wine — our Pet-Nats and piquettes are built for brunch service
- Coffee, juice, and non-alcoholic options for the people who've sworn off alcohol forever after last night
- Optional add-ons: bloody marys, mimosas, wine slushies if it's a hot Sunday
Timing: Most brunches run 11am-3pm. Earlier or later is possible.
Vibe: Lazy and unhurried. This isn't the time for speeches. It's the time for one last meal together before everyone scatters.
Our Spaces
Five patio spaces, plus an indoor cellar tasting room. Each works differently for an event. Full patio breakdown here.
| Vineyard Patio | 70 guests | Sun, vines, cabanas under umbrellas. Our biggest space and the best vineyard view. |
| Covered Wall Garden Patio | 24 guests | Fully covered, cedar and mint garden. Open March-November. |
| Sail Garden Patio | 20 guests | Shade-sail covered, surrounded by lilies and clematis. Private feel. |
| Cellar Tasting Room | 16 guests | Indoor, year-round, heated and air-conditioned. Among the barrels and bottles. |
| Lavender Hammocks | Varies | Hammocks under a pergola, surrounded by lavender. Best for cocktail-style and photo ops. |
Combining spaces: For larger groups we can combine the Vineyard Patio with the Sail Garden or the Lavender Hammocks. Total seated capacity on a single booking is 130+.
Food and Wine
Food. We have an on-site kitchen with a real menu. Our gourmet hot dogs are the signature — kimchi, elote, chimichurri, classic. Pick any three for $15. We also do supreme fries, charcuterie boards, spiced nuts, cheesecake tacos. For a wedding crowd, we can build a custom menu in collaboration with you that goes beyond the day-menu — more substantial plates, dietary accommodations, themed tie-ins. More about our food.
Wine. Our portfolio is built around small-batch, low-intervention wines: Pet-Nats, piquettes, orange and skin-contact wines, natural reds, vermouths, and rosé. All vegan. Many sourced from our 5.5-acre Hillier estate vineyard, others from grower partners across Ontario. Full wine menu.
Custom-label wines as wedding favours. One of the things couples love most: custom-labeled bottles of Traynor wine, personalized to your wedding. Set up a wine flight as a tasting at the rehearsal dinner; send everyone home with a labeled bottle. More on custom wine labels.

- Custom menu work: Add 2-3 weeks lead time for menu development if you want anything beyond our standard offerings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you host actual weddings?
No. Saturday is our busiest tasting-room day, and we want to keep that experience for our walk-in visitors. We host rehearsal dinners on Friday nights and wedding brunches on Sundays — the bookends of your wedding weekend.
What size groups can you accommodate?
16 to 70 guests in a single space. Larger groups (up to 130) by combining patios. Below 16 is fine too — we'll match you with a smaller space.
Can we bring our own wine?
No. As an Ontario winery we're licensed to serve only our own wines. You can choose from our full portfolio of Pet-Nats, piquettes, oranges, reds, whites, rosé, and vermouths.
Do you have a wedding planner on staff?
We don't, but we'll work directly with your planner or coordinator (or with you) on the details. We've done this enough times to make it smooth.
Can we do a welcome cocktail event the day before, plus the rehearsal dinner, plus the brunch?
Yes. We can host a Thursday-evening welcome event during our Apres Beach happy hour, the Friday rehearsal dinner, and the Sunday brunch — three events at one venue, with continuity for your guests.
Is there parking?
Yes. Plenty of on-site parking. Wedding guests often arrive together via shuttle or coach — we have space for those too.
