The Cantina Margarita
We have two ways of making our Jalapeño Margarita’s. This one is a little sweeter and a little spicier.First, make sure your glasses are in the freezer. You want them to be cold for your drink.
Get out you cocktail shaker, half fill with ice and add the following into your shaker:
- 3 oz Traynor Pinot Gris
- 1 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
- 1 oz Pineapple Juice
- 1 oz Jalapeño Simple Syrup
Shake vigoursly for about thirty seconds. Then rim your glass with sea salt and add ice to the glass. Strain drink from the shaker into the glass. Add straw and garnish with a lime wheel
Jalapeño Simple Syrup Recipe
- 3 cups Sugar
- 3 cups Water
- 2 Sliced Jalapeños with Seeds
Heat water and sugar on medium high until sugar dissolves and runs clear. Reduce to medium-low heat and add jalapeno slices and simmer additional ten minutes while stirring occasionally. Turn off the element and remove from heat. Cover and let steep ten minutes.
STRAIN THOROUGHLY, and it is ready to use!
