County Royale

  • Harvest To Bottle

The ‘Vesper’ — the drink we used as inspiration for this cocktail was invented and named by Ian Fleming in the 1953 James Bond novel ‘Casino Royale’. In our adaptation of this classic cocktail we substitute the Kina Lillet for the Traynor’s Madonna White Vermouth — something we believe Agent 007 would approve of.

The Madonna White Vermouth has a touch of sweetness that perfectly offsets the slightly bitter character of the dry gin. And the vodka adds an extra component that can only be described as “booziness” that is rather unique and enjoyable in a gin-based cocktail. Cheers!
