This past weekend, the idyllic Traynor Vineyard, nestled in the heart of Prince Edward County, became a vibrant meeting point where culinary flair met viticultural excellence. An event that echoed laughter, joy, and clinking glasses from morning till dusk, marking our busiest day yet, and leaving everyone with the palpable excitement for the possibility of yet another such collaboration next year. Here's a look back at the memorable day, filled with the aroma of BBQ, the twirl of wine glasses, and music that resonated with the spirit of camaraderie and good times.
An Unforgettable Culinary Collaboration
Our much-awaited event saw a delightful collaboration with Bar Mamie, the trendy and avant-garde eatery straight from Montreal's heart. They've always been fervent supporters of our winery, resonating with our passion and commitment to offering the best of Prince Edward County. This weekend, they graced the Traynor Vineyard with their presence, serving up an array of BBQ delicacies that paired perfectly with our eclectic range of wines. Their culinary expertise transformed the day into a gastronomic delight, leaving both fresh and familiar faces licking their fingers and asking for seconds.
A Patio Brimming with Smiles
As the day unfolded, our patio became a melange of smiling faces, where laughter echoed and stories flowed like wine. People from all over Ontario converged at Traynor Vineyard, eager to savour the impeccable BBQ from Bar Mamie and sip on the finest wines from our selection. The buzzing energy and the vibrant atmosphere made it a day to remember, etching memories of joy and unity amidst the picturesque backdrop of our vineyard.
An Evening Set to the Beats of DeeJayJams
As the sun began to dip, heralding the onset of a star-lit evening, DeeJayJams, stepped in to elevate the energy to euphoric levels. At around 4 PM, the beats started rolling, transforming the vineyard into a groovy dance floor where everybody let loose and danced their hearts out. The DJ managed to bring the house down, setting the perfect tone for an evening that promised fun, laughter, and perhaps a few dance-offs!
Wines that Won Hearts
The event was also an opportunity for wine enthusiasts to indulge in some of Traynor Vineyard's finest and most unique offerings. The star of the show, our "Cherry Bomb", a vegan Clarete wine, became an instant hit. This one-of-a-kind blend of Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Riesling offered a refreshing and light red that was an absolute delight to the palate. The "Baco Baco Piquette" offered an effervescent joy ride, with its refreshing taste and unique crafting process using 100% Baco Noir skins. And then, there was our 2022 Traynor Classic Gamay Noir, a masterpiece nurtured meticulously at the Kirby vineyard, promising layers of aromatics and flavours, leaving a lingering taste of the craftsmanship that defines our winery.
As we wind down and reminisce about this magical day, we are filled with gratitude for the fantastic turnout and the smiles we were able to witness.
