The Boom of the Bottle Shop

The Boom of the Bottle Shop

  • Harvest To Bottle

It goes without saying that the past year has been anything but normal and the team at Traynor has gotten used to expecting the unexpected. When guests weren’t able to come visit the winery in person the team had to reimagine the best way to get Traynor wines from Prince Edward County into the homes of those who have visited in the past, as well as introduce the wines to a completely new audience.

To say that the boom of the bottle shop has been an integral part of Traynor’s pandemic pivot would be an understatement. The entire team wanted to take some time to give a shout-out to all of the amazing bottle shops that have supported us and showcased our wines during these uncertain times. The team loves welcoming guests that tried Traynor wines for the first time through their favourite local bottle shop, and now visiting the winery in person. Whether you’re planning on visiting the County this summer or find yourself enjoying the parks and patios in Toronto, there are plenty of places you can enjoy Traynor’s wines while supporting an amazing local spot!

County-Local Bottle Shops:

The Lark
Located in the heart of downtown Belleville this is a must-stop for foodies and cocktail lovers. You can currently find Traynor’s Gamay Noir, Ophelia Piquette, Pinot Gris and Cherry Bomb Clarete on the menu.

Adega Wine Bar
The newest bottle shop in town and quickly becoming a favourite to unwind after a day of work with a charcuterie board, truffle chips and a big glass of wine. You can currently find Traynor’s Cherry Bomb Clarete and Ophelia Piquette on the wine menu (which is never-ending, but don’t worry Thierry will help navigate you to the perfect glass).

Tabersnack

The team at Traynor has also teamed up with Grape Crush to create their own custom wine only available at Grape Crush, including Traynor Pét-Nats, reimagined with labels designed by local artists. Take your time sipping through their menu on their recently opened patio.

As the summer kicks off and things slowly return to normal (what is normal these days?) we are forever grateful for these partnerships and to our guests who continue to place an importance on supporting local, and of course being open to giving our funky and more experimental wines a try by the bottle.

Cheers to the summer ahead and see you on a patio soon!
