Alta Red isn't currently part of our active lineup. For something with similar depth and structure, try our Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, or our solera-aged Sherry.
Greetings, wine connoisseurs and lovers of the vine.
Welcome to a tale of passion, innovation, and a glass filled with the extraordinary. Traynor Vineyard is proud to share the opulent and evolving story of Alta Red, a wine that was as rich in history as it was in flavor.
The Reimagined Alta Red
Crafted with a solera system's heart and an appassimento soul, Alta Red was not just a wine — it was a full-sensory experience. From its deep, rich red allure to the complex symphony of aromas, this wine was an invitation to indulge in the deeper, more opulent side of life.
A Symphony of Sensations
Alta Red enchanted with candied cherry and dried fig notes, creating a lavish bouquet laced with chocolate, tobacco, and a leather undertone's subtle intrigue. A sip unveiled a full-bodied and luscious palate, leading to a subtly sweet and enduring finish.
From Vision to Vintage
The Alta Red reflected the palate of our Rebecca, and was the culmination of a daring journey. With the cool climate of Prince Edward County as our backdrop, we embraced the art of fortification, enhancing the wine's body and complexity while weaving together the vibrancy of new vintages with the wisdom of the old.
