Product Description:

Our winemakers have been experimenting with skin-fermented whites since 2001 and 2022 vintage is a perfect blend of all their experimentation and feedback from our customers.This wine spent 5 days macerating on the skins before being pressed and undergoing a long, cool co-ferment.

Tasting Notes:

Orange blossom ripe tangerine, the palate is full and rich with soft tannin that adds the finish of a fresh tea leaf.

  • 60% Chardonnay, 40% Riesling
  • 10.5% Alcohol
  • 6 ppm SO2 at bottling
  • 3 g/L residual sugar

 Winemaker's Note:

We ended up with a bit extra of our 2023 vintage of Marmalade Pie. The result was storing a little bit separate from the rest in a small tank of its own. Once the main wine was ready for bottling we took a look at the tank with plans to blend it all together but found the tank had taken on this fun unique quality, a little richer and fuller than the the rest.  We decided to keep them separate for bottling and come out with an exclusive small run of this wine.  Marmalade Sky named for its haziness as we bottled with more lees than the Marmalade Pie.  Try both and see how such a small difference can make two vastly different wines.

  • Eastern European-inspired cuisines such as smoked fish and seafood, smoked meats, and pickled vegetables.
