★ Winemaker's note

The story behind this bottle

These grapes were hand-harvested from one of our Niagara growers and delivered to the winery as whole clusters. Upon receipt, we destemmed the grapes to break the berries for fermentation. Fermented and macerated on the skins for three weeks, then pressed and settled for one month. Aged 9 months in oak barrels before blending and bottling.

★ Frequently asked questions ★

Frequently Asked Questions.

How should I serve the Pinot Noir?

Slightly cool to room temperature, 16–18°C. A Burgundy or large bowl glass helps the wine breathe and shows the aromatics.

What food pairs well with Pinot Noir?

Grilled meats (especially lamb and pork), mushroom-based dishes, poultry (roasted chicken and turkey), spicy dishes like Thai or Mexican cuisine. Pinot Noir is one of the most food-flexible reds.

Is the Pinot Noir vegan?

Yes, vegan. 12.2% ABV. VQA Niagara Peninsula, 2021 vintage. Wild-fermented and macerated 3 weeks on skins, aged 9 months in oak barrels. 3 g/L residual sugar (dry).

How long will Pinot Noir keep after opening?

Screw cap — re-cap tight. 2–3 days. Pinot Noir is more delicate than other reds — finish sooner rather than later.

Where can I buy Pinot Noir?

Direct at the winery, online at traynorvineyard.com (Ontario only), or at select restaurants. Not currently at the LCBO.
