Notes of peach cobbler, brown sugar crumble and toffee on the nose. Round and robust on the pallet with a slightly bready finish. Slight hint of oak. A wine for heavy cream dishes and perfect for cool days.

Winemakers Note:

A decidedly ripe year. 2020 was hot, and so is this wine. A massive 14.4% alcohol bomb (atypical of our style), but when life gives you bananas, you make a giant chardonnay.

The fruit was so ripe we had a hard time fermenting in. The environment was so inhospitable that the fermentation kept sticking on us. It became problematic for us, and we needed to re-inoculate with yeast in April.

This wine spent five months in used Fench oak barrels, and it was clarified naturally. The wine was bottled unfiltered and on lees.
